Well, it was a blast. :) Everything went quite well, except for a few things, but all-in-all, I wasn't disappointed at all. In no way did we even go on probably *half* the rides, much less most of them. But, meh, I'm one of those who subscribe to the quality-not-quantity idea, and if you had fun riding on maybe just 4 or 5 rides, then, yeah... that :owns: riding on 25+ rides and ending up feeling sick, nauseous, sore, tired, etc etc.
... Laddie Boy distinguished himself by screaming (like a girl) whenever the Face-Off (a scary-but-insanely coaster) stopped for a moment on teh top of a hill/crest or something (and no one else was screaming). It was something like this: "AHH! AHH! AHH!" :) I couldn't stop from cracking up ... I even had the urge myself to shout out something completely random or bizarre in French or Japanese. I did so ... I think on teh Vortex (which is a ... jolting ride, to say the least. You... really shouldn't eat ice-cream or even a very big lunch if you're going to ride this one. Haha, it was one of my favourite rides, except for the fact that my neck and back were totally sprained from ... of all things... a KIDDY RIDE. I shite you not.:0 Stupid of me to get ON teh thing in the first place, but hey - I guess that's how you learn... The chaperones totally postponed eating lunch, for, like, ever... because the majority wanted to ride some more. Figures. ;( Chrissy-chan had gotten a headache from teh Vortex (& she wasn't the only one), my back and neck were hurting like hell >_< (after all, I'd sprained/and or twisted the muscles in them), and one of the other girls (a diabetic) had gotten sick (in part, from not having eaten soon enough and in part, from the heat - probably at the very least 90 degrees.) So, we ended up leaving early, after grabbing some pizza at La Rosa's (which has quite good pizza, better than Sbarros, but not as good as, say, Pizza Hut's) -- which was ridiculously expensive. >_< I mean, it was like highway robbery. We got Dipping Dots ice-cream, which was also inflated, then hit teh road. The kids (er, teens, really) were lots more hyper on the way back. They kept making remarks about their monkeys (in this case, toys they won from teh midway games), their monkey's sizes, and other such things. ;) :: +Memory :: Tell a Friend :: Reply Semi-public entry, whee!
I'm insanely private, but that doesn't mean that at least some of these entries can be at least partially-public. :D It's nice to have an excuse to create one of these. ^_^ [And the fact I can actually type and the screen not close on me gives it an advantage over myspace already). I'm probably going to make at least one other journal for RP-ing. Maybe 2 or 3. Even though 2 of my characters are twins, it seems kind of cheap on my part to make them _share_ a journal, expressly for that reason, ne? :D ... Themes, anyone? :D For Isildur's, I'm thinking teh user name will be: daydream-ascendancy OR sequel of decay. For Lionel's, perhaps: lion-hearted OR pride of lions (not to be mistaken for teh band)! And, perhaps: chain of flowers or chaosmaidenxx for Mona. It seems MySpace gets lots more traffic than Livejournal. Wonder why that is? For RL news, my mom and I went down to Russell this afternoon (the weather is HIDEOUS - probably 95 degrees or more). . . and checked out some consignment shops. Basically, second-handed items, knick knacks and the like. They had some absolutely adorable :owl: pieces. *grins* I'm a sucker for owls, what can I say. There were some hot-plates with owls painted on them, paintings of owls, owl-pottery, etc. ... I also admired the tea services. <3 |
